kitchen sink veggie stir-fry

One sure-fire way to save money and fossil fuels is to use the food that you have in your fridge. Sure, spoiled food and veggies can be thrown in the compost, but the first priority should be to eat them and get your money’s worth. I call this the “kitchen sink method” — a creative way to use up your food. The end result always comes out different, depending on what you throw into your pot.

Last night I made “kitchen sink veggie stir fry” with onion, garlic, mushrooms, red pepper, edamame, swiss chard, kale and red cabbage. The key secret ingredient is pouring in a bit of Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki Marinade and Sauce at the end and let it all simmer for a few minutes. Easy, quick, nutritious, and delicious! And bonus – we saved even more money and fossil fuels because we resisted the urge to go out to dinner, choosing to create yummy meal!
